Multifaceted artist and singer, Theresa Patti, will be among the more than 40 artists exhibiting over 100 art works in the Irondequoit Art Club’s Spring Show & Sale, April 27 through May 6 at the Irondequoit Public Library, 1290 Titus Ave, Irondequoit, NY 14617.
As a member of the Irondequoit Art Club, Terry co-facilitates the Wednesday critique program, was a co-founder of the Thursday artist breakfast meeting held at Bill Gray’s in Seabreeze and is the Chair of the Hanging Committee for the club’s Spring Show. Terry is a graduate of Nazareth College with a B.S. in Art and Rochester Institute of Technology School for American Craftsmen with a Master of Fine Arts in painting. She has taught painting for several years and continues to teach a course in acrylic painting at Oasis. She is also a member of Suburban Rochester Art Group and has exhibited for many years as a member of Tempo, a group of over 20 women artists. She won the best painting award at two exhibitions of Festiggiamo Le Arti at Nazareth Arts Center. Her works are very distinctive, exercises in color and composition especially those inspired by woodlands and landscapes. She works instinctively and intuitively incorporating drips, brushstrokes and “happy accidents” in her paintings. In addition to her art work, Terry has, for several years, performed with the Oasis Chorus and the Irondequoit Chorale. Meet Terry and other exhibiting artists at the Artist Award reception on Thursday, April 27 from 7 to 9 PM. As in previous years, there will also be a “Meet the Artist Day” on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 1PM.
